Jean has a very broad and valuable experience in both banking and accountancy from working in South Africa.
Jean started working life with the French Bank of Southern Africa, a subsidiary of Banque Indochine. She then moved to Volkskas Merchant Bank, a newly formed merchant bank, where she gained experience managing a department, supporting the Dealing Desk where all foreign currency for Corporate Companies was bought and sold.
She then joined a private financing house - Trade & Industry - where she started her career in Accountancy, before moving to Murray & Roberts Light Industries, a specialist Civil Engineering Company and part of a large corporate group, where she was responsible for the reporting and consolidation of financial results submitted to the Holding Company.
She later joined Denver Technical Products as their Financial Controller. The company comprised of a group of three companies involved in high tech specialist engineering equipment. Here, she was responsible for Personnel Management, Management Accounts, Statutory Returns and Purchasing of Foreign Currency. She was also a Pension Fund Trustee and Managed the Company's portfolio of investments, in addition to overseeing all the other financial aspects of the Company.
