Brownsover Hall Hotel is an magnificent Grade II listed, Victorian Gothic mansion with a scenic garden setting. It is located on the edge of Rugby, in Warwickshire, and is a short drive from both Junction 1 of the M6 motorway and Junction 19 of the M1 motorway. Its WineGlass restaurant celebrates the very best of local food through the seasons, prepared with Michelin precision.

Brownsover Hall Hotel in Rugby is a unique Grade II listed Victorian Gothic mansion surrounded by 7 acres of beautiful woodlands and gardens. This magnificent building has a dramatic interior with sweeping staircase and crackling log fires, with rich colours and plenty of character and charm. There is ample free parking within the hotel grounds.

Between 1936 and 1941, Frank Whittle, the inventor of the world's first prototype jet engine built in Rugby, based himself at Brownsover Hall, where he designed and developed early prototype engines.

There are standard and superior bedrooms in the Main House and also in the converted stable block within the grounds, where the bedrooms have a distinct unique charm, retaining many of the original oak beams. There are also a few standard bedrooms in the Coach House. All bedrooms have complimentary WiFi, iron and ironing board and 24 hour room service.

For elegant surroundings and an excellent dining experience, the WineGlass Restaurant offers the best of English cooking with fresh ingredients sourced locally wherever possible. The menu is overseen by Daniel Galmiche, a Michelin starred chef, who worked in conjunction with the head chef at the hotel to create inspired, delicious food, served in a relaxed atmosphere. Wine features prominently and there are 40 handpicked wines available by the glass. The Sir Frank Whittle bar offers a tranquil place to relax and enjoy a drink.

There are three meeting rooms, The Drawing Room, The Old Library and The Study, which offer multi-media projection and can seat up to 70 theatre style. Brownsover Hall also offers guests the opportunity to tee-off at the nearby 18 hole Rugby Golf Club.

The cities of Coventry, Leicester and Birmingham are nearby. So are the towns of Warwick, with its beautifully preserved castle and Leamington Spa with its fine Regency buildings and its Pump Rooms. Also close by are the towns of Lutterworth, Daventry, Kenilworth, Northampton and Southam.

Much closer to home is Rugby School, one of England's oldest and most prestigious public schools, and was the setting of Thomas Hughes's masterpiece Tom Brown's Schooldays. Rugby is most famous for the invention of rugby football, and there is also a museum dedicated to the game.

Other convenient places to visit are Althorp House, the home of the Spencer family, the National Space Science Centre, the Ryton Organic Gardens and Coventry Cathedral.

      By Road

      From the M6 Motorway - Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 1 and take the A246 dual carriageway towards Rugby. At the second roundabout, take the third exit (right turn, signposted Brownsover Hall Hotel) into Brownsover Lane. The Hotel entrance is 400 yards along on your right.

      From the M1 Motorway - Leave the M1 motorway at Junction 19 and take the M6 motorway towards Birmingham. Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 1 and take the A246 dual carriageway towards Rugby. At the second roundabout, take the third exit (right turn, signposted Brownsover Hall Hotel) into Brownsover Lane. The Hotel entrance is 400 yards along on your right.

      From the M5 Motorway - Leave the M5 motorway at Junction 4A and take the M42. Leave the M42 at Junction 3A and take the M40 (signposted London). Leave the M40 at Junction 15 and take the A46 towards Coventry. At the forth intersection, take the A45 - Coventry Ring Road. At the next roundabout (near Coventry Airport) leave at the exit signposted M45. Turn left onto the A4071, signposted Rugby, and continue into Rugby Town Centre. Follow the signs for the A426 - Leicester. You will pass under railway arches, after which you will reach a roundabout. Turn right at this roundabout following signs to the M6/Leicester. Continue straight over the next two roundabouts. At the third roundabout, take the first exit (left turn signposted Brownsover Hall Hotel & Ambulance Station). The Hotel entrance is 400 yards along on your right.
