The Earl of Doncaster Hotel has the best location of any Doncaster hotel, located between Doncaster Racecourse & Bloodstock Sales and Doncaster town centre - situated less than 500 metres from either one. This truly unique South Yorkshire hotel is an original Art Deco style hotel, which recently underwent a multi-million-pound refurbishment. It offers guests beautifully designed executive bedrooms and suites, a stylish restaurant and a magnificent ballroom.
Dating back to the 1930s, The Earl's distinctive Art Deco style can be seen in its geometric symmetry and bold arresting shapes. Its glitzy bedrooms - some with glossy black lacquer headboards, satin throws and flower motif wallpaper - are typical of the period style.
All en-suite rooms at The Earl of Doncaster are air-conditioned and feature flat screen TVs with Freeview, writing desks, iron and ironing boards, and a hospitality tray. Each beautifully appointed room has been individually designed with a feature bed. Many also have a seating area with a coffee table and chairs. Executive rooms boast 32 inch LCD TVs, and a separate bath and walk-in shower.
The Café Bar Concerto is The Earl's new Art Deco restaurant. Its glamorous surrounds, with a baby grand piano, sunburst chandeliers and a glass-panelled cocktail bar, make for an impressive environment in which to enjoy a champagne afternoon tea or an à la carte dinner.
Less than a mile from The Earl of Doncaster, The Dome's Fitness Village features a massive 150-station Life Fitness gymnasium, a free weights area, a group fitness gymnasium, a spin cycle studio, a large Jacuzzi, two saunas, a steam room and a sun terrace. There is also a multi-pool water wonderland with adult only swim times. Alternatively, Doncaster Squash & Fitness Club is just a 3 minute walk from the hotel.
Situated within easy walking distance of Doncaster town centre and Doncaster Racecourse; a mile from Doncaster Station and a 15 minute drive from Doncaster Sheffield Airport, The Earl offers a superb meeting location. Catering for up to 350 delegates, its spectacular ballroom boasts an in-built stage area, a sprung dance floor and a private bar. Free Wi-Fi in public areas and free secure parking is available.
Since 1776, the St. Leger Stakes has been run at Doncaster Racecourse - one of Britain's oldest and largest horse racing centres - and for nearly as long, licensed premises have existed on the site now occupied by The Earl of Doncaster. It is fitting then, that today The Earl is still the first choice for those looking to visit Doncaster Racecourse & Bloodstock Sales.
All 57 bedrooms at The Earl of Doncaster Hotel are appointed in the deco style with en-suite facilities. All rooms are non-smoking.
