The Willow Valley Golf Course

Home of the Yorkshire PGA Championship and voted 9th best new course in the British Isles Willow Valley Golf Club is only a short drive from Gomersal Park and is one of the regions newest and most exciting golfing. With another fabulous 18 hole course currently under construction (Pine Valley) to add to the existing two courses Willow Valley are sure to have a golf course to suit all needs.

The South Course is designed to challenge the skill of the most experienced golfer. Built to U.S.G.A standards the course is guarded by water on 11 of its 18 holes making the design unique in this fine golfing region. Water, a rock face, and a tree guard the green on the 6th hole making it difficult to get near the pin to make par, while the island green on the 14th hole has the golfer deciding whether to lay up or go for it in regulation. Along side the water numerous bunkers and strategically placed trees make this a most interesting and picturesque course. Visitors are advised to allow between 4 to 5 hours to play the course.

The Fountain Course is a 9 hole course, built to the same U.S.G.A standards as the South Course with six par 3 and three par 4 holes. This course is ideal for those not yet proficient enough for the challenge of the South Course or with less time to spare.

There is also an Academy Course designed for players to improve the all important 70 yards or less distance, the Academy Course is by far the best place to practice if your serious about lowering your scores. The course has 3 short par 3 holes and can be hired by the half-hour at a price of £5.00 per adult and £2.50 per child. As a floodlit area it is ideal for those dark winter evenings to hone your short game skills or have a friendly competition amongst friends.

Willow Valley Golf Course also offer a 24 bay covered and outdoor floodlit All-Weather driving range open from 7.00am to 9.00pm, golf tuition, equipment, repairs, practice facilities and buggies.
