With two AA Rosettes, Olivers is the Inn at Woburns award-winning restaurant serving a superb menu of contemporary English and Continental cuisine, served with flair and imagination. Guests can enjoy a wonderful meal in elegant surroundings and a relaxed atmosphere.

• Sample starter menu: Artichoke Salad with Pecorino Cheese served with winter leaves and toasted pine kernels; Bubble and Squeak Florentine with Poached Duck Egg glazed with hollandaise sauce; Cannelloni of Crab served with bisque foam; Pan Fried Scallops with Tempura Courgette lime caramel and herb salad; Smoked Duck Breast with a Pistachio and Apple Dressing with a sweet potato basket and citrus salad; Linguini with Roasted Provencal Vegetables served with a spinach, Parmesan and garlic cream.
• Sample main course menu: Sweet Potato and Courgette Galette topped with pan fried Halloumi cheese, roasted pepper and tomato coulis; Pan Fried Fresh Market Fish with Café de Paris Butter buttered Anya potatoes and a mint pea purée; Seared Fillet of Sea Bass with a Basil Purée and Olive Crust fennel couscous, roasted vine cherry tomatoes and lemon oil; Braised Lamb Parcel with Pan Fried Liver crispy pancetta, mashed potato and black pudding gravy; Grilled 8oz Sirloin Steak with either Béarnaise Sauce or Café de Paris Butter Garlic Polenta, Tomato and Rosemary Jus; Traditional Roast Partridge en Croûte braised savoy cabbage, game chips and port jus; Loin of Woburn Venison Bourguignon with wholegrain mustard mash, chantenay carrots and curly kale.
• Sample dessert menu: Assiette au Chocolat a white chocolate fondant, milk chocolate mille-feuilles and dark chocolate sorbet; Trio of Tatin - A pear, plum and fig tart tatin served with lemon crème fraîche; Banana Soufflé Served with a dark rum and raisin ice cream; Canaletto of Woburn Ice Creams Belgian chocolate, French vanilla, rhubarb and ginger and mandarin and chocolate chip ice creams, served with mini palette, chocolate paint brush and fruit coulis; Duchess Pudding steamed sponge with dried fruit and almonds, served with orange cream

Olivers Restaurant opening times -
• Breakfast is served from 7.00am to 10.00am Monday to Saturday and from 8.00am to 10.00am on Sunday
• Lunch is served from 12.00pm to 2.00pm Monday to Saturday and from 12.30pm to 2.00pm on Sunday
• Dinner is served from 6.30pm to 9.30pm all week

Tavistock Bar -

The popular Tavistock bar is in the original and oldest parts of the hotel in the original building. The bar is full of character and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere with roaring fires and exposed beams and is a convivial place for guests and locals alike to come and relax. It offers an informal setting to enjoy a selection of cask- conditioned ales, superb choice of fine wines & spirits as well as a mouth-watering bar menu.

It's equally tempting for morning coffee, a light lunch or Afternoon Tea. The tradition of taking Afternoon tea is said to have been started by Duchess Anna Maria, wife of the 7th Duke of Bedford at Woburn Abbey during the 1840s. She felt that it was a long time between luncheon and dinner and that taking tea and delicate sandwiches, cakes and biscuits at 5 oclock helped bridge the gap.
• A snack menu can be enjoyed from 12 noon until 10pm and includes a delicious range of sandwiches, salads, wraps and chefs 'dish of the day'.
