Lancaster House Hotel is a deluxe 4-star hotel, a short drive away from the historic city of Lancaster, with its castle and brewery, and a few minutes from Junction 33 of the M6. Lancaster House Hotel offers luxurious accommodation, a leisure club with indoor pool and excellent meetings and events facilities. The hotel has been awarded Gold in the Green Tourism Business Scheme. Located next to Lancaster University.

All 99 en suite bedrooms at Lancaster House are luxuriously appointed with complimentary secure cable broadband, LCD Freeview TVs, in-room safes, work desks and key card access. Classic Double or Twin Room - Spacious, comfortable and well equipped rooms. Some rooms feature additional beds for families.
Luxury Studio Rooms - Located in the new wing these rooms are modern and contemporary in décor. Each room features a lounge area with sliding doors leading to the bedroom, luxury bathrooms with separate stand alone bath and power shower, LCD TV's and laptop safes. The sofa in the lounge can also be extended out into a single sofa bed.
Large Family Room - Very spacious family rooms with one double and two single beds.

Hotel Heritage & History

Lancaster House Hotel was a green field site build and was opened on the 12th June 1991. Princess Alexandra performed the official opening ceremony on 4th December 1991.

In 2001 Lancaster House celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special dinner attended by Princess Alexandra who as Chancellor of Lancaster University had opened the hotel 10 years previously.

In 2004 Lancaster House announced plans to expand, with 19 additional bedrooms, new conference and function facilities, and extensive improvements to the hotels leisure facilities and beauty salon.

In May 2005 Lancaster House completed a £3.2 million extension and re-development programme consisting of a new conference and banqueting suite, almost doubling the hotels capacity, 19 new luxury bedroom suites, plus expansions to the Sandpiper Leisure Club and Sandeman's Bar.

How to find us

By Road

From M6 Motorway (Heading North) - Come off the M6 motorway at junction 33. Take the A6 north towards Lancaster City Centre. Go straight through the traffic lights in the small village called Galgate. Once through Galgate you will come to another set of traffic lights. Go straight on and you will see Lancaster House Hotel on the hill to the right. Turn right at the turning before the next set of traffic lights. Follow the road up. The entrance to the hotel is on the right hand side on the brow of the hill.

From Manchester Airport - Take the M56 from Manchester Airport. Join the M6 motorway heading north. Leave the M6 motorway at junction 33. Take the A6 north towards Lancaster City Centre.
