Lindeth Howe is literally surrounded by wonderful golf courses and has formal arrangements with all of them to ensure that guests are assured of a round of golf. The nearest course is Windermere, just 1 1/2 miles from the hotel. It is known as the miniature 'Gleneagles of the Lake District'. It is a short, tight and challenging course with no sand bunkers but plenty of heather and rock outcrops and a par of 67 for gentlemen. The Kendal Golf course, 9 miles from the hotel, offers a great challenge as it is one of the hilliest and hardest courses in the area. The sunsets from the top holes with views across the Lake District are not to be missed.
