The award-winning restaurant at Smiths offers diners deliciously fresh, simple dishes with a contemporary twist. Much of the produce used in the cuisine is local - sourced from the surrounding area and coastline, and on occasions from the farmland overlooked by the hotel which is part of the Gretna Green Estate and has been farmed by the same family since 1886.
Sumit Chakrabarty, the Head Chef at Smiths, has developed the menus over the past two years, enhancing not only his but the whole hotel's reputation for offering high quality dishes. Sumit's success has resulted in many great restaurant reviews and he recently received a commendation as 'Rising Star Hotel Chef' at the Scottish Hotel Awards.
