The Vale Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort is a unique, world-class destination set amidst over 650 acres of beautiful parkland, with a luxurious 4-star hotel, two championship golf courses, the largest award-winning spa in Wales and exceptional leisure & sporting facilities.

The only hotel in Cardiff of its kind, the Vale Hotel Golf & Spa Resort is ideally located, just 3 minutes from the M4, Junction 34, and within 15 minutes of Cardiff city centre, Wales' vibrant capital and Cardiff International Airport.

Bedrooms at the Vale Hotel are contemporary in style, all air-conditioned and luxuriously appointed with excellent amenities including satellite TV, high-speed broadband internet access and an in-room safe. Many of the rooms have a balcony or terrace with fine views across the gardens and Lake golf course.

Varied dining options are available throughout the Resort. The award winning Vale Grill offers a 'Best of Welsh' dining experience in relaxed surroundings. The Vale Bar and the Golf Club bar serve everything from sandwiches and snacks to good wholesome food, whilst Salamanza, the chic champagne bar is the place to enjoy a wide selection of the finest French champagnes by the glass.

The award-winning spa features 19 treatment rooms, including dual treatment rooms, and it offers an extensive menu of beauty treatments for both men and women. It sits alongside impressive leisure club facilities, which include a 20-metre indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, whirlpool spa, fitness studios and a state-of-the-art gym. The hotel also has 3 squash courts and 3-floodlit tennis courts.

The Resorts' two championship 18-hole golf courses have both played host to PGA professional championships and are home to the Welsh PGA. One of two courses is the award-winning Wales National course. The on-site golf academy offers computerised analysis and PGA tuition, complemented by full practice facilities including an all-weather driving range and putting greens.

The Vale Resort Hotel in Cardiff is home to the Wales rugby team and both the Wales football international sides, as it comprises some of the finest resort facilities in the UK including an indoor training arena.

Ten fully air-conditioned, flexible conference and meeting rooms make the Vale an excellent choice for meetings and events of all sizes. The largest seats up to 700 delegates in a theatre style layout. The Vale also has a unique Indoor Arena for exhibitions, large events or conferences for up to 1,500 delegates. The resort caters for a full range of team building events, either within the extensive grounds or undercover in the Indoor Arena.

The hotel is surrounded by manicured gardens and a picturesque golf course, interspered with lakes, offering a beautiful backdrop to your wedding day photographs. The professional and experienced team at the Vale are on hand to help guide you through organising every detail of your big day and to ensure that it is perfect in every way possible.

Wedding ceremonies can take place either within the hotel or the beautiful gardens. There is a full range of function suites available to cater for wedding parties of all sizes up to 400 and an extensive selection of menu options. The Vale is just a few minutes from Junction 34 of the M4, offering easy access for your wedding guests.

Hen and stag party packages are available at the Vale, ranging from pampering spa retreats to outdoor activity days with clay pigeon shooting, archery and off-roading and more.

The splendid Castle Suite is the largest of the function rooms, seating up to 400 wedding guests for a wedding breakfast. This room has its own dedicated bar and opens out onto a large terrace area that takes in panoramic views of the Lake golf course.

The Morgannwg Suite is a bright, airy room located on the first floor. It overlooks the surrounding Lake golf course and features a sweeping staircase that leads down to the beautiful gardens and patio area below.

The Trecastell Suite is a very private venue with its own entrance and dedicated bar. This room can be transformed into a fairytale setting using its clever lighting system.

The Cowbridge Lounge is a more intimate room, ideal for a civil wedding ceremony or initimate wedding breakfast.

The Salamanza Bar & Conservatory is a chic venue for intimate celebrations. The room has fabulous views of the championship golf course.

How to find us

By Road

From London:
Take the M4 west and exit at junction 34 in South Wales.

From the Midlands & the North:
Take the M5, then take the M50/A449 to Newport, then M4 to junction 34.

From the South West of England:
Take the M5 to either the M49 at Avonmouth or the M5/M4 interchange (near Bristol) and then over the Severn Crossing into Wales. Exit the M4 at junction 34.

From West Wales:
Take the M4 east and exit at junction 34.

From Junction 34:
Take the exit signposted for Pendoylan, Hensol and Bosch factory then take the 1st right turning before the Bosch factory. Follow signs for Pendoylan, Hensol and Vale Hotel. Take 1st right, signposted Hensol, Miskin and Vale Hotel. Take 1st left, just before the white house on the bend. Follow the road up the hill and Vale resort gates are on the right.
