The hotel dates back to 1727 and has been sympathetically renovated over the years. The bedrooms are individually styled with some rooms overlooking the walled gardens with its 200 years old Crown Bowling Green. Hotel Heritage & History

The Wynnstay Hotel was a well known Coaching Inn for both the route from Liverpool to Cardiff and from London to Holyhead. There are references dating back to 1727, but the existing building is typical of the Georgian Style, and there have been many alterations and additions over the years.

The hotel which has been privately owned for the past 20 years has been sympathetically renovated over the past years, including converting the old stable block at the rear of the hotel to a luxurious health & leisure club.

From the A5 - take the B4579 to town centre. Take left fork at Honda garage. Turn right at traffic lights. Wynnstay Hotel is 100 yards down this road opposite the church. A large car park can be found at rear of hotel.
