Guests at hotels in Burford will be in for a treat next month, when the Cheltenham Christmas market opens its stalls along the city Promenade.

Around 60 stalls selling gifts, crafts, food and drink will be open and selling their wares.

Shoppers can sup mulled wine or nibble on a mince pie under Christmas lights in a wonderful festive atmosphere.

Those keen on sampling some continental Christmas fair may also be tempted to have some German Gluwine or bratwurst while they browse the trinkets and toys on offer.

The market is open between November 18th and December 4th and is one of a number of markets being hosted in the Cotswolds.

In another historic local city, Bath, the Christmas Market is being hosted nearby some of the area's best landmarks, including the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey.

The Bath Christmas Market will be open to the public from November 24th through to December 11th.
