Cotswolds 'offers lots of natural beauty'
Guests in hotels in the Cotswolds can enjoy diverse scenery and landscapes during their stay, a conservation official has said.
According to Martin Lane, director of the Cotswolds Conservation Board, the region is largest area of outstanding natural beauty in the country.
However, he said it offers far more than attractive surroundings, as it also possesses a rich history and heritage, the Cotswolds News reports.
"It is a fascinating story to tell the millions of visitors to the area, as well as the many people who call the Cotswolds their home," Mr Lane commented.
He was speaking at the unveiling of a new discovery centre called Escape to the Cotswolds!, which gives people staying in hotels in the Cotswolds an insight into its natural evolution and human history.
This comes shortly after the Cotswolds Conservation Board staged its inaugural Cotswolds Wildflowers Week event - a celebration of all the flora in the area.
