Tourists considering one of the luxury spa breaks on offer in the Lake District could be swayed into booking a trip by the announcement of a new flamenco show in the area.

Juan Martin 's Flamenco Ensemble will take place at Theatre by the Lake on February 22nd, giving people an excellent reason to escape from their everyday routine and take in the memorable feel of the Lake District.

The show has come in for much acclaim in the theatre industry and completed a sell-out performance at the venue in 2009. Martin's own compositions will be aired, with the support of a number of extremely talented musicians and flamenco dancers.

With an imitable style, the performance has been warmly received by past Lake District visitors, who have been mesmerised by Martin's combination of modern flamenco, classical music, jazz and contemporary harmonies.

The event will begin at 19:30, meaning that those looking to attend the show will have a full day beforehand to explore other delights in the area.

A variety of shops and restaurants can be visited, leaving tourists with the chance to buy some unique souvenirs that will enable them to remember their stay.

However, another attraction is Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's 17th century farmhouse, which will be the ideal spot for fans of the legendary British author.

Each room in the house features a reference to a picture in one of her tales, while its exceptional garden contains a blissful combination of flowers, herbs, fruits and vegetables.

At the moment, the house is not open for visitors, though it will re-open on February 11th, when travellers will be able to see the house's appearance complemented by the picturesque winter weather.
