Hotels in the Cotswolds prepare for trio of Stroud festivals
September looks set to be one of the best months to book into Tetbury hotels, with nearby Stroud set to host three separate festivals over just 17 days.
The succession of events has been dubbed Festival Fortnight by organisers and comprises the Stroud Walking Festival, Food and Drink Festival and Stroud Fringe.
Organisers of the Food and Drink Festival (September 2nd-18th) aim to highlight the locally produced foods and drink, as well as showcasing some of the best places to eat in the Cotswolds.
The Walking Festival (September 2nd-18th) is hosted in partnership with local environment and educational groups, aiming to highlight some of the wonderful walks in the region.
Finally, the Stroud Fringe (September 2nd-4th) will celebrate a range of artistic, cultural and musical talent over a three-day collection of events.
Town councillor Dave Cockcroft explained: "Stroud now has a wide range of restaurants, pubs and cafes to suit every taste, as well as many innovative businesses and food-related projects.
"We hope this festival will be an opportunity for them to promote what they do and to encourage even more people to put healthier, locally-produced food at the top of their menus."
