Keswick visitors to receive improved customer services
Guests of hotels in Keswick should see improvements to the customer service standards at the Information Centre in the Moot Hall, as a new strategy has been deployed.
In the past, customer service advisers had found it hard to juggle telephone calls and dealing with customers entering the centre, but this is hopefully set to change.
As of next month, the advisers will answer telephone calls for a couple of hours a day between 10:00 and 12:00 BST, with anyone calling outside these hours being given information through a pre-recorded message.
Guests of accommodation in the Lake District have recently been showing high demand for buying theatre tickets or booking outdoor activities at the centre.
"We understand some people will be concerned about the reduction in telephone capacity but we are confident these changes will help us maintain the level of customer service people expect at Moot Hall," explained the national park's head of information services Steve Wray.
