South-west England hailed for culinary delights
Visitors to luxury hotels in the Cotswolds will find that they are not far away from some of the finest food in England, Lonely Planet has revealed.
Its latest guide book shows that the south-west of the country has plenty of cuisine worth talking about, with chefs keen to use the best ingredients available.
Not only is the food innovative, but also ethically and locally sourced, meaning the south-west is making its mark on the UK's food map, Lonely Planet explained.
Author Oliver Berry commented: "The south-west is every foodie's dream; just caught crab accompanied with local wine in spectacular settings - what could be better?"
He added that the region is even giving London a run for its money in terms of top restaurants.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that the number of establishments awarded Michelin stars in London had topped 53.
