Stay at Yorkshire hotels to enjoy theatre
Those staying in luxury hotels in Yorkshire have the opportunity to attend a performance of The Merry Widow, which is opening in December.
Being performed at the Leeds Grand Theatre and Opera House, The Merry Widow is seen as something of a "timeless classic", according to Visit Britain, while the theatre describes the performance as fun and romantic.
The story of a young widow seeking a husband, the musical is set in 1905 and is "infused with Parisian sensuality and Viennese sophistication".
Guests staying in luxury hotels in December will be able to see the performance from the 18th to the 22nd, which could be perfect for those looking for a festive treat.
Meanwhile, those visiting Yorkshire early next year could peruse the artwork being displayed as part of the year-long Art in Yorkshire festival, which includes renowned artist David Hockney's largest work, Bigger Trees Near Water.
