Take time out to visit Powis Castle in North Wales

People currently searching through the UK's hotel and spa breaks may find what they desire in North Wales, where there is a host of attractions for tourists.

The region boasts some of the country's most aesthetically pleasing landscapes, meaning that visitors will have the chance to explore fantastic surroundings, promising a number of visually stunning photo opportunities.

One particular site that should not be ignored by those travelling to North Wales is the Powis Castle, which contains within it many attractions for history buffs and those who want to familiarise themselves with the area's culture.

Included inside the church is the Long Gallery, which was created by Sir Edward Herbert, the second son of the Earl of Pembroke.

In the current day, the gallery has been decorated with features of Sir Herbert's ancestors, with coats of arms among the artefacts stored in the fantastically insightful room.

The Clive Museum is another attraction that tourists can enjoy in Powis Castle. It features a wonderful collection of treasures from the Indian sub-continent and will prove to be a highly glamorous sight for visitors.

Once individuals step outside Powis Castle, they can search through its sensational garden, which is one of the few Baroque gardens to survive almost undamaged since the 1680s.

Dancing statues and beautiful flowers are two of the garden's key elements, with tulips, bluebells, fuchsias and wisteria known to grow at different points of the year.

After perusing the castle and garden, people will be ready to put their feet up, so Lady Violet's coffee shop will provide a great way for people to relax.

Located in the gardens, the store was named after the Earl of Pembroke's fourth wife, who convinced her husband to allow her to renovate the garden in 1911.

It has been restored for current-day visitors, offering a variety of snacks and warm drinks for visitors before they return back to their hotels.
