The Cotswolds 'has a certain charm'
Visitors of luxury hotels in the Cotswolds often find it a very charming place, a writer for This is London has suggested.
In areas such as Barnsley, many tourists expect to see people walking around in period costume because it is simply so quaint, Hettie Harvey revealed.
There are plenty of places to indulge in some afternoon tea or even a pampering session, giving people the sort of relaxation they need at the start of a new year.
"Between the fresh air, food, fires and spa, we slept like babies and woke feeling better and brighter than we had all winter," explained Ms Harvey.
She added that it is easy to be spoilt in the Cotswolds, mainly because there are simply so many indulgent treats to be found.
Local photographer William Fricker recently revealed details of his new book, which documents some of the best locations in the Cotswolds.
