The Tragedy of Macbeth in line for Brewery Arts Centre opening

The Tragedy of Macbeth will open at the Brewery Arts Centre on March 1st, giving theatre fans the perfect way to enhance a Lake District walking holiday.

Icarus Theatre Collective will present the show, following the success of their Hamlet production, and present their unique portrayal of one of Shakespeare's most vicious and captivating productions.

The group merge the original show's verse with new music and striking gothic design, presenting people with a fantastic new take on the landmark showpiece that will appeal to Shakespeare enthusiasts and those that are yet to see the original.

After reigning victorious in war, Macbeth is rewarded but soon finds that he cannot handle the power. He quickly attempts to take over the local kingdom, as his desire for power can no longer be controlled.

The show visits the Brewery Arts Centre as part of an international tour, which started in August 2011.

This event acts as one of the many attractions available in the Lake District, where people can choose to indulge in fine dining at many of the region's fantastic restaurants, or simply walk through the picturesque countryside.

Areas such as Lake Windermere present beautiful scenery for tourists, who can choose to relax in the splendid surroundings with a chilled drink, taking in the breathtaking Lake District environment.

After strolling around the area's fantastic attractions, exploring the shops and restaurants, people can also choose to play a few rounds of golf in the region's many courses.

One in particular that is sure to appeal to visitors is the Windermere Golf Club. With fantastic views over the Windermere area, players can tee off while staring into the captivating local landscape.

Also, the site's bar means that even people who are not playing golf can relax, enjoy the friendly hospitality on offer and make a wonderful escape from everyday life.
