Try spotting Beano characters while at North Wales hotels

Beano fans staying at North Wales hotels may want to pay a visit to National Trust properties, as their doors are being opened to the fictional characters.

For the first time, the charity will be giving household names such as Dennis the Menace access to its 300 homes and the 617,500 acres of land it cares for.

Tony Berry, visitor experience director at the National Trust, explained: "We are hoping the news that we have opened our doors to them all will encourage families to take a leaf out of Dennis the Menace's book and organise a trip to one of our places."

He emphasised that many of the properties have taken down ropes that restrict access to certain areas in order to make them seem more fun for youngsters.

In some places, guests of hotels in Anglesey may even be able to have a go on a snooker table or try out other objects on display, Mr Berry added.
