Visit the excellent Wild Thyme Food Festival in the Cotswolds
Now that spring is underway, people across Britain will be looking to find a fantastic break for them to get away from their usual routines.
There are plenty of destinations in the UK to choose from, but spa breaks in the Cotswolds will be sure to give individuals something that is unavailable in many other locations.
The area boasts some of the country's most eye-catching views, thanks to the region's wonderful landscape, which is littered with breathtaking mountains, picturesque greenery and a spate of other attractions.
For example, the Wild Thyme Food Festival will take place in Chipping Norton this month, offering tourists an excellent opportunity to sample some of the area's most renowned delicacies, while giving people a chance to sample the local culture.
It will be held in the location's town hall on Sunday May 27th from 11am to 5pm, with over 20 exhibitors set to exhibit their best produce.
Among these will be Hook Norton Honey and the local Slow Food consortium, while chocolate fanatics from Stow Once Bitten will also be showcasing their latest products.
Nick Pullen, founder of the festival, will also be holding cookery demonstrations during the day, including a class on pasta making.
Mr Pullen’s partner and festival co-founder Sally Daniel told the Tewkesbury Admag: "Nick and I were overwhelmed by the positive response we received at last year's food festival.
"We're delighted to be able to put on this great day for everyone to enjoy celebrating all the wonderful local produce available in this area."
Among the other attractions of the event will be a seafood and champagne bar hosted by New Wave Seafoods, whereas extra refreshments will be provided to attendees by Chipping Norton's independent bookshop Jaffe and Neale.
Evidently, the Wild Thyme Food Festival provides many things to do for visitors to the Cotswolds and, along with the promise of the region's fantastic walking routes, gives more than enough reason for travellers to book a stay in the area.
