Witley Court garden open to those at Chipping Campden hotels
Chipping Campden hotel guests may want to take a day out to head to Witley Court, which has opened its East Parterre garden to the public.
The garden has been restored to the condition it was in 150 years ago, at a time when Witley Court was an important property in the West Midlands.
"So much work has gone into the archaeological research, planning the layout, and the sourcing of appropriately-coloured gravel that it is hugely rewarding to see the East Parterre looking so fantastic now," noted head gardener Richard Squires.
He revealed that the lake reflects the house itself on a still day, which is something that those staying at country house hotels in the Cotswolds will enjoy seeing.
Furthermore, Mr Squires challenged visitors to see what wildlife they can spot, as kingfishers, pike, bream and carp have all been seen in the water.
