Yorkshire hotel guests to head to Christmas market
Guests staying in Yorkshire hotels are getting geared up to head to the Christmas market in Leeds next month.
From November 12th 2010, Christkindelmarkt in Millennium Square will be open for business and encouraging people from all over Yorkshire to visit.
One of the largest German Christmas markets in Britain, guests at Yorkshire hotels who pay a visit to Christkindelmarkt will have the chance to walk around traditional wooden chalets and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
More than 30 stalls will be set up by German traders, selling handcrafted wooden toys, Christmas cards and Yuletide decorations.
There will also be the chance to try some traditional delicacies, including bratwurst sausages, stollen, gingerbread, goulash and pretzels.
The event will remain open until December 20th and during the colder days visitors can warm themselves up with a drink of gluhwein.
Guests staying in accommodation in Yorkshire later this month can take advantage of the many events being put on in celebration of Halloween.
These include a visit to well-known haunted properties including Whitby Abbey in North Yorkshire.
