This magnificent medieval fortress was completed in 1310 during the reign of Edward I. It served as a stark symbol of power to the last princes of Wales. Today, visitors can explore the lavish interiors of the 18-Century saloon with its exquisite tapestries or the restored East Range, where you can discover the Castle’s connections to high society. There are 5.5 acres of award-winning gardens to enjoy, including a rose garden and wooded pleasure ground, as well as 480 acres of estate parkland, with a wonderfully preserved section of Offa’s Dyke.
