Southeast England’s biggest and deepest Cold War bunker open to the general public – designed for 600 military and civilian personnel, perhaps even the Prime Minster – offers a tantalising glimpse of the imperative collective task of organising the survival of the population in the aftermath of a nuclear war. Set on 25 acres of land, there is a whole host of exciting activities to participate in, including a high ropes adventure course, a skating rink, archery, air rifle and paintball target shooting, water zorbing and tunnelling.
