Britain’s only coastal national park features stunning national formations, such as the Green Bridge of Wales, and some of the best beaches in Britain, including Barafundle Bay and Whitesands. The park’s untouched landscapes are home to many rare native species of wildlife. Choughs, skylarks and the stonechat call the coastal heathland their home, bats hunt along the twisting hedgerows, Atlantic grey seals give birth on the shore, and dolphins and porpoises frolic in the sea. Visitors can follow the 186-mile-long Pembrokeshire Coast National Trail to take in some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in Britain. Discover first-hand why National Geographic magazine voted Pembrokeshire the second best coastal destination in the world and Lonely Planet voted the Wales’ coastline the best region on Earth to visit. The park consists of 13 Special Areas of Conservation, 5 Special Protection Areas, 1 Marine Nature Reserve, 7 National Nature Reserves and 60 Sites of Special Scientific Interest.
