Sit down to award-winning food in Chaloner’s Restaurant; its high ceilings and period details perfectly capture the splendour of Gisborough Hall and the menus place seasonal and Yorkshire ingredients front and centre. De Brus Bar & Grill offers a laid-back alternative, serving hearty dishes, small plates and meats and fish from ‘the grill’. Be sure to visit ‘The Safe’, a unique liquor room – formerly a Chubb safe – then head to The Drawing Room (where log fires crackle in winter), the Old Hall (with is huge fireplace fascinating historic artefacts) or the terrace if the weather’s favourable. Enjoy award-winning food in the magnificent surroundings of the Old Hall. Chaloner's – taking Lord Gisborough's family name – captures the grandeur of of its past, with period architectural features and large windows framing the pretty gardens and rolling landscapes beyond. There's a genuine passion here for fabulous Yorkshire produce with menus designed to showcase the region's best in-season fruit, vegetables, meat and fish. This is dining with a distinct sense of occasion. Please note the smart casual dress code for Chaloner's Restaurant, requesting that no ripped/faded jeans, shorts, trainers or sportswear are worn.
De Brus Bar & Grill
De Brus Bar & Grill is all about relaxation and tasty comfort food. It's a great spot to catch up over a drink, meet over lunch, or enjoy a hearty meal or smaller portion. The menu features steaks, fish and chicken from 'the grill', alongside firm favourites such as beer battered fish and triple cooked chips and the De Brus Burger. A range of dishes are available as large or small plates to match your appetite.
The Safe
Originally built as a muniment room, a Chubb safe which was once used to house the deeds for the Gisborough Estate has been converted into an impressive liquor room. Today, The Safe houses an wonderful selection of fine and unusual whiskies, craft gins, aged brandies and wines. Pick your chosen tipple and head through to relax in the eleganance of The Drawing Room, complete with baby grand piano, or the grandeur of the Inner Hall with enormous period fireplace and historic artefacts adorning the walls.

Gisborough Hall is the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely afternoon tea – in the atmospheric Drawing Room or Old Hall, or on the garden terrace, gazing out across the front lawn towards the Cleveland Hills. Go 'Traditional' and enjoy freshly cut finger sandwiches, home-baked fruit scones with jam and clotted cream, homemade cakes, pastries and sweet fancies, Wensleydale cheese and fruit chutney, plus a piping hot pot of loose leaf tea or a cafetière of coffee.
