Nestling in acres of beautiful landscaped grounds and gardens – including a walled garden, sculpture gardens and a delightful woodland walk – Tre-Ysgawen Hall Hotel is located at the centre of Anglesey, near Llangefni, placing the entire island, with its pristine beaches and sweeping bays, within easy reach. Holyhead Port and Anglesey Airport are a short drive away.

Cuisine fit for a foodie, with the accent firmly on seasonal, local produce, is served in Noëlle’s Restaurant. Choose from the extensive wine list in Noëlle’s Bar, with superb vintages and young New World wines. The rustic atmosphere of the Clock Tower Café, situated in the old clock tower, adds another dimension to your dining experience at Tre-Ysgawen Hall. (Please note: Noëlle’s Restaurant, Noëlle’s Bar and the lounge are currently closed. The Clock Tower Café is open for drinks only.)

Converted from a Victorian stable block, the spa at Tre-Ysgawen retains many of the original features and offers a full range of ESPA treatments. An invigorating thermal suite includes an ice fountain, an experience shower and a salt inhalation therapy room. You can also go for a swim in the 16-metre level-deck pool or workout in the air-conditioned gymnasium.

Food & Drink

Noëlle's Restaurant

Winner of 'Best Restaurant of the Year' at the prestigious Anglesey Tourism Awards 2013, Noëlle's at Tre-Ysgawen offers guests a mouth-watering, 5-course gourmet meal in elegant surrounds – luxurious, heavy drapes frame large panoramic windows with lush green views of the landscaped grounds. From the modern British menu diners can discern an emphasis on regional produce, with seared fillet of Welsh black beef and a tasting of Welsh cheeses to finish.

Please reserve a table for dinner in advance.

Noëlle's Bar

Noëlle's bar provides the perfect place to start your evening prior to sitting down to a 5-course meal in Noëlle's restaurant. Offering an extensive wine list, take your time to find your preferred pre-dinner aperitif, including old vintage wines and champagnes from the most famous producers and wine regions, plus young, vibrant New World wines.

Clock Tower Café

Converted from the original potting shed and partly located, as the name implies, in the old clock tower, the Café has a rustic, relaxed atmosphere, owing to its warm lighting, high-beamed ceiling and cobblestone-style walls. The Clock Tower is open all day serving a variety of hot and cold dishes from a bistro-style menu, with lunchtime and evening specials boards. Again, the emphasis is on locally sourced produce, whether it's an Anglesey free range egg sandwich or local ‘Cwt Caws’ goats cheese salad.

Al Fresco Dining

In the summer, dining at Tre-Ysgawen Hall reveals an altogether different flavour. Take a seat in the fresh open air – sunny or shade – and dine al fresco. The Clock Tower Café leads out to a courtyard, which offers an oasis of calm to spend a long summer evening after exploring the local area.

Afternoon Tea

Don’t miss the opportunity to indulge in afternoon tea whilst staying in this glorious setting – savour homemade scones with fruit preserve and cream, sandwiches, Welsh cakes, including bara brith, and a pot of tea. Both traditional afternoon tea and champagne afternoon tea are available to order and can be enjoyed in the hotel's main lounge. Afternoon tea can be booked in advance, at a special price, when booking your room via classicbritishhotels.com

Wellness

Spa | Health Club

The Victorians had no idea that a humble stable block was destined to become one of the country’s top luxury spas offering a full range of heat and ice experiences. If they had, they would have been pretty excited. Of particular note are the health benefits of the salt inhalation therapy room, which uses particles of Anglesey sea salt to reinvigorate the body. The experience shower alternates between gentle mist, Caribbean rain and monsoon shower settings – all with light colour therapy. From aromatic heat, to ice flakes, thermal experiences are designed to eliminate toxins, improve circulation and prepare the skin before embarking on your very own Anglesey salt signature treatment.

The Gardens

Take a romantic stroll through acres of glorious landscaped gardens and grounds, including a beautiful walled garden that has a Laburnum arch. Admire the sculptures dotted around the gardens, including the tall wooden men entitled ‘Encounter’ in the secret garden and the stunning ‘Silver Spirit’ by Housi Knecht in the Clock Tower courtyard. The latest addition to Tre-Ysgawen’s sculpture gardens is ‘IDEAS’ by Simon Gudgeon, one of Britain’s leading contemporary sculptors. In spring, the ever-popular woodland walk is awash with bluebells and daffodils, and you can see the giant ‘Tom Thumb,’ a dwarf evergreen shrub, turn purple-leaved in early summer.
