Richard Dodd is on the main board of The Hotel Partnership, trading as Classic British Hotels since 2009.
Richard advises the Board on a wide range of financial matters and is actively involved in the overall planning and growth of the company. He became a Chartered Accountant with Roberts White in London and went on to work in the construction industry, AE Genet Ltd. abroad. On returning to London he worked with Jolliffes, and then continued with Grant Thornton, a top ten firm of Chartered Accountants, when they acquired Jolliffes.
He spent the rest of his career with Menzies, a well-known Southern England based firm of Chartered Accountants, becoming a partner in Menzies. His role was to advise a range of corporate and personal clients on all aspects of taxation, corporate finance and business development opportunities. During his time with Menzies he was responsible for integrating two acquired accountancy businesses into the Menzies group.
