Park Farm Hotel is an exclusive country house hotel situated on the outskirts of the beautiful city of Norwich with its Norman Castle, 900-year old Cathedral, shopping malls, theatres and art centres. The orginal Georgian country house has undergone an extensive programme of renovation and redevelopment, transforming it into one of the leading hotels in Norwich.

The 53 individually designed hotel rooms at Park Farm Hotel provide relaxing accommodation in which to unwind and enjoy your stay. Hotel rooms are split between the original Georgian country house, some in the renovated Norfolk Barn and the remainder within the beautifully landscaped gardens. Many of the hotels original features are still apparent and the large hotel rooms have been individually designed and decorated with most featuring separate baths and showers.

The well-equipped Park Farm Leisure Club offers excellent hotel leisure and spa facilities including a 16m indoor heated swimming pool and state-of-the-art gymnsaium. If you prefer to relax and unwind rather than work out, the Health, Beauty and Hair Salon will leave you feeling pampered from head to toe.

The Park Farm Hotel Restaurant has received an AA Rosette for the fine quality of its food, all prepared using the freshest local ingredients. The relaxed Lounge area is the perfect place for a delicious snack, a pre-dinner drink or a nightcap.

The hotel's air - conditioned meeting rooms can accommodate up to 120 delegates with ample, free parking available on-site.

Bedroom Accommodation

All 53 en-suite hotel rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished, most featuring balconies and separate bath and shower. All rooms feature WiFi internet access, TV, tea/coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, heating control, electric shaver point, 24 hour room service, radio, in-room safe, smoke alarms and trouser press. The majority of rooms are non-smoking. Hotel rooms are split between the original Georgian country house, the renovated Norfolk Barn and the remainder within the beautifully landscaped gardens.

Superior Double / Twin - Some rooms have balconies, spa baths and separate showers. Ground floor rooms have a patio area and patio furniture during the Summer months.
Deluxe Double / Twin - Deluxe hotel rooms are large, spacious rooms, which can be family rooms and accommodate extra beds. All deluxe rooms have a separate bath and shower, iron and ironing board. Ground floor rooms have a patio area and patio furniture during the Summer months.
Executive Doubles - Executive hotel rooms are large, spacious rooms all featuring, bathrobes, spa baths and separate showers, iron and ironing board. Two Executive hotel rooms are Honeymoon Suites and feature four-poster beds and double spa baths.
Tumbrils Apartment - Self contained apartment with separate double bedroom, lounge area with a sofa, conservatory kitchen, bathroom with spa bath and private garden.

Hotel Heritage & History

The original Georgian farmhouse was purchased by the Gowing Family in 1958. Over the years they have tastefully transformed it from a Dairy Farm, offering farm holidays, into one of the region's leading hotels.

Until 1981, meals were prepared in the old farmhouse kitchen. This was then refurbished and expanded for the opening of the public restaurant in the original Georgian farmhouse.

In 1988, Ten Executive Bedrooms were added to the hotel and in 1991 the Leisure Centre and Conference & Banqueting Suites were completed.

In 2000, a further Twelve Luxury Bedrooms were added to the hotel.

During 2003 a new state-of-the-art Kitchen was completed and 2004 saw the opening of a brand new Restaurant inter-connecting to the existing Georgian Restaurant in the farmhouse.

2005 saw another vast development; a complete renovation of the Lounge Bar, giving a modern, comfortable meeting and dining area.

2008 welcomed the completion of 11 new air-conditioned bedrooms along with 'Ellingham', the new conference and banqueting suite.

How to find us

By Road

From Norwich Airport - Follow the signs to A11 (Thetford/London). At Thickthorn Roundabout take the B1172 (Hethersett). Park Farm Hotel is two miles from the roundabout on the left just after the village of Heathersett.

From London (A11) - Leave the A11 just beyond Wymondham at the sign for Dereham/Hethersett/Wymondham (B1135). At the first roundabout turn right signposted Wymondham. At the second roundabout turn right signposted Hethersett (B1172) and follow the road for 1.5 miles. Park Farm Hotel is on your right hand side.

From Norwich City Centre - Leave the City Centre following signs for A11 (Thetford/London). At Thickthorn roundabout take the B1172 (Hethersett). Park Farm Hotel is two miles from the roundabout, past the village of Hethersett, on your left hand side.
