East Anglia hotel guests given advice on keeping money safe
Holidaymakers taking a vacation in the UK, including staying in hotels in East Anglia, have been given advice to avoid losing their travel money.
Travelsupermarket.com's Bob Atkinson has told people to make sure they do not carry all their money with them when on holiday.
He stated: "Whether it's here at home or abroad … if you've got large amounts of cash [and] if someone sees you with large amounts of cash, than it's an open enticement to someone to have a go and try and get it."
Last week, sunshine.co.uk revealed that as many as two-fifths of tourists carry all their travel spending money on them at all times.
Instead, Mr Atkinson recommended leaving cash in safety deposit boxes, such as those found in accommodation in East Anglia, or at the hotel reception as a more secure means of protection.
He also advised people to use cards, as well as cash, for spending money.
