Families checking into hotels near Blenheim Palace will find a number of great outdoor activities to take part in at this historic attraction.

Between August 1st and 5th, a number of events are being held in the grounds of the palace that are sure to be a hit with youngsters.

Children between the ages of seven and 16 are able to take part in activities such as archery, an assault course and swing building.

There will also be an opportunity to develop practical knowledge including first aid, survival skills and team building.

Anyone staying at country house hotels in the Cotswolds who wants to take part will need to head over to the site close to the Pleasure Gardens between 09:00 and 17:00 BST.

It was recently announced that the Cotswold Way had officially been twinned with the Jeju Olle Trail in South Korea.
