Lake District photographers asked for historical images
Keen photographers who have stayed at accommodation in the Lake District over the years have been asked to put their images forward for an exhibition.
On August 14th, a special exhibition will be held at the area's visitor centre to celebrate 60 years after being granted national park status.
As part of the event, a now and then photography exhibition is planned, where images of the Lake District through the ages will be on display.
The closing date for entries is July 18th, with images sought of some of the region's best-loved attractions, including the shores of Ullswater and Nether Wasdale village.
" We've put ten wonderful images of these iconic Lake District locations on the website and we want people to look at them and then recreate all or part of the image with a 21st century twist," said web editor Helen Reynolds.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that volunteers had helped improve wildlife access at Muncaster Castle.
