Visit Tetbury to explore the wondrous Highgrove Gardens

Deciding on where to spend a holiday this summer can be a tough choice but, thanks to the number of excellent spa breaks in the Cotswolds available for travellers, the challenge could be made much easier.

The area boasts some of the UK's most eye-catching scenery, along with a fantastic array of charming shops and wonderful attractions, ensuring that visitors will never run out of things to do and places to see.

A key part of the region's appeal is its tranquil nature, which is a far cry from the busy city centres seen elsewhere in Britain and could act as the perfect break from people's routines.

And, although the weather is currently wet, the Cotswolds' phenomenal scenery means that it sparkles in any climate.

Not only is the area home to some of the country's most delightful views, but there are also a selection of tremendous gardens for visitors to tour, such as the Highgrove Gardens in Tetbury.

They are the private gardens of their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, so people have the opportunity to look around a premises that is literally fit for royalty.

A variety of remarkable flowers are on show in the site and new displays have recently been planted.

Many of these now feature in the Arboretum, where a range of rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias are growing under a large canopy of larch and magnolias.
Also, those wishing to visit the Highgrove Gardens can choose from two tour options.

The first of these is the standard tour, which lasts for around two hours and takes people on a two mile walk of the premises, allowing them to take in all of the garden's excellent features.

Secondly, visitors can opt to embark on a champagne tea tour, where 32 guests will explore the gardens before visiting the site's Orchard Restaurant for a delectable afternoon tea.
