Over 300 years Ascot Racecourse has established itself as one of the UK’s leading racecourses, hosting 9 annual Group 1 races. The centrepiece of the British social calendar is Royal Ascot, held in June, which features some of the best racehorses in the world. Indeed, in 2012, the world’s four top horses on official ratings ran at Ascot, something that no other venue can boast. The Racecourse hosts 26 days of racing, with jump racing throughout the winter months.
