Newbury Racecourse is over 100 years old and melds heritage with premier sporting facilities for a thrilling programme of all year round racing events (30 fixtures per year). Many legends have rode at Newbury: Winner of five Cheltenham Gold Cups, Golden Miller made his steeplechasing debut at Newbury in 1931, and on the 19th January 1934 Fulke Walwyn rode Our Hope to win the January Moderate Handicap Hurdle. The first of Fulke’s many wins at Newbury both as a jockey and a trainer.
