The Imperial Hotel – Llandudno Promenade
“You sit enthroned on the promenade of Llandudno, ‘Queen of the Welsh resorts.’ Take in the sea air, the sea views – the beauty of North Wales unravels before you.”
Located on the Promenade in the heart of Llandudno, fondly known as the ‘queen of the Welsh resorts,’ the Imperial Hotel takes in spectacular, panoramic views across Llandudno bay. The town itself is overlooked by Great Orme, a striking limestone headland, which has a Victorian tramway to its summit and prehistoric copper mines beneath it.
The Imperial Hotel features a leisure club with indoor pool and gymnasium. There is also a beauty salon offering a luxurious range of spa treatments. The award-winning Chantrey’s Restaurant combines Welsh fine dining with stunning sea views, serving up locally-inspired Welsh lamb and beef dishes. In the summer, you can enjoy a delicious afternoon tea on the seafront terrace.

Chantrey's Restaurant
RRPanoramic windows bask in the Imperial Hotel's glorious position, on the promenade of this popular Victorian resort. Guests have more than just their taste buds tantalised, taking in gorgeous sea views whilst enjoying renowned Welsh fine dining. The seasonal, à la carte menu is modern in style and uses the finest of Welsh produce, organic where possible, including award-winning Welsh lamb and beef, and market fresh fish and seafood from the North Wales coast. Meat supplied to the hotel is fully traceable and has met the highest ethical criteria. Executive chef, Arwel Jones, serves up delicious signature dishes. Start with his mini fish and chips – local Orme beer battered fillet of haddock, crushed peas, mini chips and homemade tartare sauce. As an entrée, choose the tender loin of Welsh lamb wrapped in a leek mousse and prosciutto ham. Dessert is in keeping with the season, autumn apple assiette.
Please reserve a table for dinner in advance.

In the summer, dining at the Imperial Hotel reveals an altogether different flavour. Take a seat in the fresh open air – sunny or shade – and dine al fresco. Bodnant Garden – National Trust
World-famous Bodnant Garden is situated above the River Conwy and features breathtaking views across Snowdonia. It is home to renowned botanical collections from all over the world. This 80-acre garden features ornamental ponds, impressive terraces, a wooded valley, and glorious displays of rhododendrons, azaleas, magnolia, camellia, clematis and hydrangea.
Great Orme
This rugged limestone headland juts out of Llandudno bay and offers spectacular views. Intrepid explorers can can ride to its summit on Britain's only cable-hauled public road tramway, in original Victorian tramcars. There are nature trails to follow and prehistoric remains to discover, including Bronze Age copper mines, dating back 4,000 years, and an Iron Age fort.
Conwy Castle – World Heritage Site
Conwy Castle commands attention as it rises menacingly above the Conwy Estuary, almost growing out of the rock on which it stands. Casting a powerful medieval spell over the walled town, Edward I built Conwy in the late 13th Century as a key fortress in his 'iron ring' of castles to subdue the Welsh. With soaring curtain walls, the views from the battlements are breathtaking.
Mostyn
You might be surprised to find Wales' leading gallery of contemporary art behind a 1901 terracota façade in the heart of Llandudno, but it is here that six galleries showcase the finest contemporary art being produced in Wales, whilst also exhibiting some of the most significant art on the international scene. Instead of permanent collections, there are wide ranging seasonal exhibitions.
