Check-in to your Georgian manor house retreat in the Hampshire countryside. Dating back to 1795, Oakley Hall Hotel is a magnificent country house hotel set in a 315-acre estate. Beyond its rural surroundings, both the M3 and Basingstoke are a ten-minute drive away.
Bedrooms offer a high level of comfort with free Wi-Fi, flat screen smart TV with movies, complimentary digital newspaper and luxurious Algotherm eco-friendly toiletries. Many have super king beds and air-conditioning. The split level Courtyard Coach House and Clocktower Suites offer a large lounge; top floor Four Poster Suites feature emperor-size beds and enjoy stunning views over the grounds. Several rooms showcase period features including fireplaces and picture windows. Oakley Hall Hotel is great for families – spacious rooms with sofa beds, mini toiletries, children’s bathrobes and slippers, and children’s afternoon teas are all available. The gingerbread-style, three-bedroom Garden Cottage in the hotel grounds has a private terrace and its own parking.
Enjoy sumptuous dining in the award-winning Glasshouse Restaurant. The seasonally-changing menus showcase the very best of local and home-grown (kitchen garden) produce, with a ‘field to fork’ philosophy and commitment to prioritising suppliers in the surrounding area. Oakley Hall is a wonderful spot for an afternoon tea: three tiers laden with homemade scones, cakes, pastries and sandwiches – if the weather’s right, pull up a seat on the terrace and gaze out over the lush lawns and grounds. The 1795 Bar & Lounge gives a nod to the hotel’s heritage, but its beautifully modern interiors are a fabulous place to start the evening with pre-dinner drinks, a G&T (local Bombay Sapphire highly recommended), a local ale or good coffee.
Take time to explore the grounds – there’s a running trail and woodland walk. Or grab a picnic from the Glasshouse Restaurant and find a spot in the sunshine to enjoy your delicious treats. A host of attractions are within easy reach – Bombay Sapphire Distillery, The Vyne (National Trust), Silchester Roman City Walls & Ampitheatre and Jane Austen’s birthplace and house (Jane Austen regularly visited friends at Oakley Hall when it was a private residence).
Oakley Hall Hotel has 7 meeting spaces – its Garden Pavilion is one of the largest, most flexible event spaces in Hampshire, with state-of-the-art lighting and AV, its own bar and a private terrace, perfect for summer BBQs and drinks receptions. With 315 acres of grounds, there’s no shortage of space for outdoor team building which the team can happily arrange.
Our Deluxe Bedrooms are located in both the main house and our 19th century courtyard. As well as contemporary decor, super king size beds, and beautifully furnished bathrooms complete with oversized bathtubs, you'll find luxurious Algotherm toiletries ready and waiting on arrival

As well as a walk-in shower and separate dressing area, you might also find additional period details such as ornate fireplaces and large windows which frame beautiful views of the grounds. And with a comfortable seating area, complete with a pull-out double sofa bed, these rooms are perfect for families and couples alike.
The courtyard is home to our Coach House and Clock Tower Suites - each of which are spread across two floors and are wonderfully spacious. But you’ll also find a sumptuous double bedroom with another TV - perfect for those long, lazy lie-ins.
Our Four Poster Suites are perfect for romantic escapes. Each one is wonderfully spacious and features all the little luxuries found in our other bedrooms. Plus, you'll also find an enormous emperor size bed and a separate seating area. And with both of these suites located on the top floor of the main house, you’ll be able to wake up to the most breathtaking views of our grounds.
Tucked away on the rear lawns you'll find our charming, secluded retreat - Garden Cottage. The gingerbread-style cottage is ideal for parties of up to six guests and features three queen size bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a luxurious sitting room and kitchen. The traditional lattice windows offer beautiful views from every direction, while the private patio is simply perfect for a lazy al fresco breakfast.
The Glasshouse is all about home-grown, hearty food served up in a laid-back setting. Masterful cooking and innovative dishes have earned the team a clutch of accolades including two AA Rosettes; the Gold Beautiful South Award for Restaurant of the Year; and a Bronze 'Taste of England' award (Visit England).
The restaurant follows a 'field to fork' philosophy, taking care to source the finest quality local produce. You can't get more local than the hotel kitchen garden – originally laid out in 1860 and brought back to life in 2012 it provides seasonal fruit, vegetables and herbs including apples, peaches, figs, plums and berries. These fresh, home-grown ingredients and local produce take pride of place on the menus.
Picnics can be ordered from the restaurant – when the sun shines grab a blanket, take a stroll and find the perfect spot to settle down and tuck into a sumptuous picnic lunch in the open air.
The restaurant has a designated area for dog owners, allowing guests with well behaved pets to dine together.
Afternoon tea at Oakley Hall is a delicious treat. Savour homemade scones, cakes and patisserie, artisan sandwiches and a refreshing pot of tea or coffee. Add a touch of sparkle with a glass of champagne each. Enjoy the experience as a family with special children's afternoon teas also available.
