Skipton Golf Club is situated at the "Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales", close to the centre of this ancient market town. It is set in beautiful countryside and comprises 18 holes, measuring just over 6000 yards, with a magnificent Clubhouse overlooking the course.
The course itself provides a challenge for golfers of every standard, with the distraction of magnificent panoramic views over Sharphaw, Crookrise and the Embsay fells. Eller Beck, which runs off these fells, provides a beautiful water hazard on several of the back nine holes.
The course not only offers a feast of golf but also a variety of wild life - Deer, weasel, stoat and fox can be spotted together with heron, lapwing, curlew and kestrel, the latter providing the Club's emblem.
The Clubhouse offers a well stocked Professional's shop, superb facilities including carpeted locker rooms, snooker and quiet rooms, luxurious lounge and bars.
